Saliva Test with At-Home Collection Authorized

The FDA issued an emergency use authorization (EUA) to Rutgers Clinical Genomics Laboratory for a new COVID-19 test that utilizes saliva samples collected at-home in a designated self-collection kit, which must then be returned to the Rutgers Clinical Genomics Laboratory in a sealed package for testing.

Once again, there are no at-home COVID-19 tests available at this time. This test currently remains prescription only.
